Reflection Post

Overall, I like how this class looked at how to assess the way individuals, organizations, students and teachers use technology. I like the LoTi test as well as the updated Blooms Taxonomy.

I like the the unit plan was organized in terms of timing and the process. I also think it would be interesting to learn more about sites where teachers can publish some of their work. But overall, resources like the Intel project and the like are a good way to get teachers started with looking at unit plans and technology.

Overall, I enjoyed this class.

Week 5 Unit Plan

By now, we have worked a lot on our unit plans, it is quite evident that a good plan has clear supporting materials available, is flexible for teachers to make changes for differing student populations as well as teaching time. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about standards, because most state standards encompass so many things. Overall, I'm interested in hearing about other unit plans, especially for different age levels. I also enjoyed my reading on the digital divide relating to Gender.

Week 4

What I liked the best about this week, is looking for the trends in electronics and internet usage. I am very interested to see what new Census data shows. It is significant to think about what trends and demographics of usage are in order to add to the accuracy of shaping the usage of technology in a school setting.

I also like the idea of having a survey for students, as well as staff. I also thought it was interesting to see student perspectives on the usage of technology in thier school settings.
